《The Moon Before Morning》读后感(一):译一首默温P.6 By the Front Door 前门外

BY THE FRONT DOOR

Rain through the morning and in the long pool a toad singing happiness old as water [Page 6]

《The Moon Before Morning》读后感(二):译一首 THEFT OF MORNING 窃取清晨

T H E F T O F M O R N I N G

Early morning in cloud light to the sound of the last of the rain at daybreak dripping from the tips of the fronds into the summer day I watch palm flowers open pink coral in midair among pleated cloud-green fans as I sit for a while after breakfast reading a few pages with a shadowing sense that I am stealing the moment from something else that I ought to be doing so the pleasure of stealing is part of it [page 8]

《The Moon Before Morning》读后感(三):译一首P.115 NO FLAG 没有旗帜

After he set up the flag at the pole where no one ever had been before him and after his return and the fanfares the flags the speeches the medals the fame he had dreamed about the praise of kings he came to the unmapped cold of death and passed backward through clouds of speeches that had no sound and back through curtains of flags without motion or color stacked like layered shadows around him a lifetime of dark draperies where nothing was known they too were gone and he saw only white space under cloud and through it the ice of his own eyes and beyond that ice he beheld in a row watching him the dogs that had drawn his sled and brought his whole expedition to the invisible pole and had watched him set up the flag and call out to no one in a strange voice there they all were the dogs that he had killed then eaten and fed to those that would take him back again they went on watching him where no one had ever been

P. 115
