家乡芜湖是一座美丽的滨江城市，它风景秀丽、物产丰富;它人杰地灵、历史悠久。每当有人提起它，我都禁不住要赞美那气势如虹的长江大桥、秀丽如画的镜湖公园，还有欢乐如海的方特世界等，不过今天我要郑重地向大家介绍的是一朵艺术园林中的奇葩，那就是久负盛名的铁画。

芜湖铁画远近闻名，历史悠久，查阅资料后我了解到铁画原来始创于清代，那时候芜湖有位技艺精湛的铁匠叫汤鹏，他的铁匠铺隔壁就是一座很有名的画院，喜爱绘画的他刻苦钻研，不断摸索和实验，独树一帜地把国画艺术和制铁工艺完美的结合在一起，创造出了的铁画技法，并且深受群众喜爱，流传至今，成为了芜湖的特色工艺。

铁画又被称做铁花，工匠大师们以锤为笔，以铁为墨，集合国画和水墨画的优点，将一片片毫无光泽的铁片，一根根细若松针的铁丝，仔仔细细地经过打磨，抛光，修片，喷漆等多道工序后，再固定到白色底板上，一番匠心巧手的改造居然能将毫无生机的铁料制成一副写意的画卷，真可谓创意十足。铁画借鉴了国画的章法，却又有着西画的立体感，虽然只有黑白两色，却给观者带来很有层次的艺术效果，被诗人称为“巧夺万代所未有”的工艺。

铁画可以描绘的内容很多，比如人物风景、高山松柏、花鸟鱼虫，只要可以在中国画画纸上绘制出来的形象就没有表现不出来的，你看那梅兰竹菊四君子在风中摇曳生姿，独具风韵!在看那边的奔马扬蹄疾奔而来，仿佛踏踏的蹄声声震沙场!还有那形态奇特却令人过目难忘的安徽形象代言——迎客松，傲然挺立而又谦恭不卑，品性高洁。即使是小件的鱼虾，也似白石老人的墨宝再现，栩栩如生。难怪有人说“铁为肌骨画为魂”，这句话深刻的描绘出铁画所独具的意境啊。
