但是，近几年来，随着国际贸易与世界联系的日益频繁，能说外语已经成为了一个成功的人的标志。外语在中国已经开始作为一种不能缺少的语言了。于是，中国的教育政策也就开始越来越趋向于外语教育了，特别是英语，大学英语必须通过四级才能毕业，高中，初中的课程中，英语的比例占有相当大的一部分，就连小学的教育政策也开始重于英语。最有趣的是现在的那些幼儿园小朋友也在家长的干涉下学起了英语，他们连汉语都说不好，连自己的母语都说不好，为什么让他们还要去学英语呢？

现在问大学生，中学生，问他们关于英语的知识，他们之中80%以上的人能流利地说出，也能通顺得写一篇英语文章。但是，如果让他们写一篇汉语文章，我看，能写得语句通顺的应该寥寥无几吧。我门连自己的语言都不能学好，为什么那么重视外语呢？随便翻开《新华字典》的其中几页，至少有一个字不认识或是不理解它的意思，再说，能做到这样，已经不错了。在上海举办的“第四届全球华人物理学家大会”，那么多的中国精英在这里几乎都是用英语来演讲，用英语来交流，这到底是为什么呢？

英语在中国已经占有了一定分量，之所以能这样，也表明了英语的确是有一定的实力。电脑编程等地方就是用英语来，如果用汉语，那么，结果可想而知。国际上的交流，是使用汉语的多呢？还是用英语的多呢？我承认，英语是占有优势。不过，汉语是我们的母语，汉语才是我们的母语。从甲骨文到现在的简化字，经历了多少春秋，难到在我们这一代，就要遗忘它吗？

中华民族的子孙们，汉语是我们的第一语言，是我们的母语。记住：汉语是我们出生时的语言，是我们成长时的语言，是我们生命的语言。

关于语文学科加强“听、说、读、写、背”的设想：

1、关于“说”：语文老师利用每前课课前3分钟，开展课前3分钟演讲活动，可以借此锻炼学生读、写及说的能力，从而促进其对语文学习的兴趣。

语文老师利用备课组活动，提前一周就当今的热点问题、名言名句、名家名篇等某一话题，先统一，后提前告诉学生，让学生做好“3分钟演讲”准备。

2、关于“读”：更多所指是学生课外阅读名篇、名段、名句，要求老师明确学生的阅读内容、阅读篇目，譬如《语文读本》《语文周报》《读者》甚至为人处世、待人接物等方面的美文，提前告知学生，并且建议每周利用一节晚自习，做为语文阅读课。（最好是每学期开学初，各语文备课组统一印发学生阅读的篇目）

3、关于“写”：

作文，每个星期在课表上要安排一节“写作”课，要求老师利用好这节写作课，并且强调不能用于讲其它内容。

4、关于“背”：除了要求学生背出语文课本上要求背出的文章，每个学期各备课组统一印发高考优秀作文及一些经典美文，要求学生熟读成诵。
