在热播的电视剧《武媚娘传奇》中，范冰冰的古装扮相迷倒了一大片人。这是范冰冰第一次挑战女皇的角色，而之前，她扮演最多的是公主。有一次，她演的婀娜公主就追着情郎到了安溪。

说起自己的“公主经历”，范冰冰笑了：“真的是太巧了！在《尘埃落定》里我演塔娜公主，在《河东狮吼》里又演公主，还有这个婀娜公主。”

“婀娜公主是一个有‘三分秀气、三分灵气、四分蛮气’的很平民化的公主，她为了追随自己的心上人，偷偷溜出皇宫，一路从京城追到安溪，绣鞋都穿破了，她原本带着少女的天真烂漫，到皇宫外，才知道老百姓的疾苦和朴素。后来她被花溪女所感动，将自己的心上人谭义忍痛让给她，我觉得这是一个十分有个性的角色。”范冰冰说。

《婀娜公主》以安溪铁观音为媒，剧中融入了厚重的闽南风土人情和茶文化，李解饰演的主人公谭义吟诵茶诗信手拈来，乌龙茶的渊源娓娓道来，茶艺、茶道成了该剧不可或缺的情节，提线木偶、湖头镇等地的风味小吃等闽南元素比比皆是。

拍摄期间，剧组足迹遍及安溪文庙、清水岩、大坪乡茶园等地。戏中，婀娜公主为寻找心上人谭义，第一次来到安溪，被安溪美丽的茶园所陶醉。她在茶园里喊“茶哥哥，茶哥哥……”的场景，拍摄地点就在毛蟹（乌龙茶四大品牌之一）的发源地——大坪乡茶园。而作为剧情高潮的茶王赛，拍摄地点则是安溪的清水岩。

提起铁观音，导演郭法曾风趣地说：“这是一种‘害人茶’。喝过铁观音以后，都离不开它了。”
