孤独、迷茫、幼稚的小男孩第一人称自述。

英文版，非常口语化且夹杂着无数slang，还有很多像sonuvabitch连写词，读出来听着很像纽约街头的street kids，翻译过来估计要少了点味道了。

越看越觉得男主是个令人心疼的孩子，他其实是个非常善解人意的人，为了让室友不感到inferior而把自己的行李箱搬到床下；他还有同理心，经常替别人感到沮丧，比如那个小妓女，比如冬日中央公园湖中的鸭子；他考虑别人先于自己，买剧票的时候选了Hayes喜欢的，而他自己根本是不爱看剧。这样一个善良善解人意细腻又敏感的孩子却把自己藏在一副带刺的外表下，可能是过强的自我保护意识和没有安全感导致脏话和谎言成为他的待人接物的伪装，这一切最终留给他的是无尽的孤独。

这本书是我们高中第一年英语课的读物，现在想来这个安排有它的道理。Holden经历的青春期迷茫我也经历过。是的，已经算是过去式了，后悔没早点读到这本书。

Antolini对Holden说，you’re not the first person who was ever confused and frightened and even sickened by human behaviour……many many men have been just as troubled morally and spiritually as you are right now. I can very clearly see you dying nobly, one way or another, for some highly unworthy cause.

Holden还被困在他的迷茫之中，而我已经经历过了这些困惑与恐惧。如果我早些看到这本书，它就会成为我的灯塔，成为我的Mr Antolini。

Holden是幸运的也是不幸的。他遇到了Antolini，却没有理解他的苦心和指引。最终还以这种方式远离了他。

全书读来感觉像是一种发泄式的倾诉。Holden因为现实中无人可说，把所有心里话都道给了读者。我经常读着读着突然意识到他是被作者创造出来的虚拟人物，结果继续读下去还是会忘记这点，以为他是一个真实存在的小男孩，还是我的朋友，无时无刻地念叨着他的生活、想法。

《The Catcher in the Rye》读后感(二)：少年读不懂Salinger

最近连续了三本经典的英文小说，Pride and Prejudice《傲慢与偏见》，The Great Gatsby《了不起的盖茨比》，The Catcher in the Rye 《麦田里的守望者》。对我来说，最具有文学美感和深意的就是《傲慢与偏见》，但最令我印象深刻的竟然是语言非常平实甚至脏话连篇的《麦田》。这本书在我包里背了很久，今天终于看完，最后竟然泪目。

故事主人翁Holden是一个叛逆的厌恶世间的虚伪万象的愤世嫉俗却又没有足够勇气发泄愤怒的十七岁少年，整本书只讲述了他逃学之后三天内的故事，第一人称的口吻叙述着他经历的事情以及内心的各种想法和天马行空的思绪，文中脏话过于密集以及太多粗俗直白的表达让我最初感觉这本书只适合男性读者，这也是它在二十世纪初的美国文学界掀起巨大波澜让万人追捧的原因之一，太多少年读者在书中看到了自己，那个叛逆的对谁都不屑一顾的自己。

但我作为女性读者，最受触动的部分就是Holden桀骜的外表下那颗善良的心。书的标题是The Catcher in the Rye《麦田守望者》，因为书中的Holden在被妹妹问到自己最想做的事情是什么时，这么一个叛逆的少年说，他就想做一个麦田里的守望者，保护那些在麦田里奔跑玩耍的孩子们，不让他们掉下麦田旁的高坎，不让他们发生危险。这就是他想做的。在书的最后当Holden看着旋转木马上的妹妹开心地玩耍的时候，他瞬间觉得灰暗的生活又有了一些色彩和希望。他就这样看着妹妹，之前心中那么多混乱的思绪和过激的想法就这样散去了。

《麦田》这本书曾经被美国很多学校列为“禁书”，因为很多少年读者会模仿书中Holden的消极言行和态度，但我感觉其实作者Salinger想表达的并不是书中文字表面显现出来的愤怒憎恨，写这本书的时候Salinger已经快三十岁了，所以少年们也并不能真正读懂这本书。

作者Salinger本人的经历也很有传奇色彩，出名后的他受不了公众的关注，过上了避世的隐居生活，他真的是用自己的行动在表达他对这个浮夸虚伪世界的恐惧和排斥，对于他的个人生活也有很多的争议，但看他写的书，我感觉他是一个很简单纯粹的人。因为受过战争和感情的创伤，他很敏感，但他并不像一些人所讲的那么怪异。写作于他来讲，更多地是为了让自己放松和开心，没有太多的功利性。

即使他隐居山间，期间还是不得不因为一些版权问题而出山与别人打官司，他好累，于是决定任何人不能对他的书进行改编和翻拍成影视剧。但他本人已于2010年逝世，他的版权在十多年后也要到期了，之后会发生什么呢？

就像纽约时报在2018年Salinger诞辰100年时所写的，“Salinger想要的只不过是自己一个人呆着，但那么多年了，连这一点心愿都没办法得到满足”。

Reading The Catcher in the Rye and I finally come to the title part and boy am I sad to have understood the cliff and the rye and James Castle and all.

以上是22岁的时候重读时发的想法。心情和13 14岁初读时天差地别

10年前读的时候，我跟身边的小伙伴说，这本书崩了我的世界观。那时候我觉得我就是Holden本人，厌恶“虚伪”的人，渴望躲到一个没人认识的地方有一大片金色麦田的地方 似乎能避开世界。可我说不出来，为什么我的世界观崩了。

那时候大概只是初一初二的样子吧。等到22岁成年了 大学毕业了，重新认识Holden的时候 我觉得我多懂了Holden一点。

说到底，成长就像坠落悬崖。“未成年人”Holden知道成人世界的边界，所以他站在悬崖边 把小孩子们赶回麦田。

书里面大概有讲到几次falling。

James Castle，Holden以前学校里的一个没有存在感的同学。一次他的表亲来学校要带他去兜风，所以他找Holden借了一件毛衣。就在当天 他被学校里的恶霸欺凌 不肯低头 跳窗死去了 身上还穿着Holden的毛衣 满满都是血。

Holden在酒店里被皮条客欺凌，被迫多给了钱。事后伤痕累累他坐在窗台边 想跳下去 想“悲壮”地死去 想跳下去，但是没跳。

Holden溜回家 他跟Phoebe说他要当个麦田里的守望者 守在悬崖边 一有小孩子从麦田里跑出来 他就抓住他们 让他们不要落下悬崖 回到麦田（乌托邦）

我会说，Holden是半个成年人，半个小孩子。他厌倦成年人being fake and phony，不屑于成为其中一员 却用说谎和粗话伪装自己足够成熟 试图以这种方式生活。他又希望Phoebe永远不要长大 像这样当个小孩一直活下去。也许正因为他处在其中尴尬的位置 知道成年的边界在哪，所以才想成为悬崖边的守望者罢。

说回falling。前两次（跳窗）是真实世界的暴力与弱小的冲撞，如果跳下去了，便是以死亡来对抗。

而坠落悬崖（窗台），一则死去，一则挺了过去成年了，却满身是伤痕 再也回不去乌托邦。

大概是有点语无伦次了。读完这书，我感到很难过。

《The Catcher in the Rye》读后感(四)：Time for leaving

I still remember that day in the outside of my lab. She said something about The Little Prince, although I do not remember what brought us to that topic, which really surprised me. I said you know that book？ you read that？ She answered of cause. We then had a short talk about the flowers, the fox...

Another day when I was about to leave HK, she gave me a gift that is the CD of the movie's soundtrack we watched together before. In return, I bought the English version of The Little Prince to her (although she said the drawing style of the fox in the book is so ugly). This book The Catcher In The Rey was just bought together with The Little Prince from Eslite Bookstore in HK.

That's why when I was reading this book, it frequently made me think of her and the book I gave to her. I think, to some degree, this book is sort of similar with The Little Prince, both of them are expressing having innocence, not being too sophisticated and vain and phoney. But Holden goes more far away and intensely than the fairy tale. He hates people being too regular and living a boring life. What he wants to do is just staying in a rye protecting little kids like his little sister Phoebe from falling into the cliff. Actually, he do protected her at the end of the book. He gave up going to West for her, for making her get back to school, although ironically, he is also the one that hates staying at school.

Is Holden really cynical？ I do not want to tell, but I want to say he is indeed immature in terms of the way of speaking and behaving. I agree that people are, many of them are phoney. Even there are many people like that around me including my family members. In China people always have endless vanity, which is another way of being phoney. One the other hand Holden is also a kind-hearted guy although pretending to have a hard shell, he donated his only money to the nuns for instance.

The little Phoebe is really an angel. She is smart, neat, lovely and generous (if I will have a daughter, I even feel like naming this name Phoebe for her). It is her who make this story have a happy ending rather than end up with Holden leaving home and going to the West alone.

At that mid-night, I walked her to her dorm and just catched the last backing metro. She said maybe it is good for us to say goodbye at this moment, before people get to know each other throughly including our weakness and conceit. She said that with tears in her eyes, she had so many tears during that leaving days and some of them were even beyond my ability of understanding. I now think she was right. The moment of leaving someone who you think is special or important is so beautiful and too beautiful to forget. Or in Holden's way, I should say, that kills me!
