《redwhiteblue - here/there/everywhere》读后感(二)：搞足了前戏，但弄错了G点

这是一本形式和内容结合地都不错的册子，但是——

黄炳培于2000年开始关注这种红白蓝尼龙布，到从中提炼出“香港精神”，而最终演化成一系列海报、摄影及艺术装置的《红白蓝香港建筑》主题邀请创作展。应该说立意是好的，前面田野调查似的一系列铺垫都是不错的，但到了这个主题展结论时似乎就不对了。

当然这种红白蓝尼龙布纹更应当视作内地贫下中农民工的指向，最后如果被解构再造成沙龙艺术的图式把玩那就违背了他原本的诚恳初衷。

我认同邱志杰的一个观点是“艺术不能拿民工来开涮”，我觉得这个“红白蓝”展有这样的嫌疑，当然受邀请的精英设计师们也只是拿“红白蓝”作为一个图式布料，有点等同于LV编织袋的戏谑感。

《无处不在红白蓝》可以视作 搞足了前戏，但弄错了G点 的一个案例。

到了现在这样的红白蓝竟然也“潮”起来了

RedWhiteBlue: Bagging Chineseness

Referring to the colors of the nylon carrying bags, redwhiteblue is no stranger to the native Hongkongese. Obscure as its origins may be, these cheap and durable bags have served many an émigré returning from Hong Kong to China over the years, bearing gifts, foodstuff, and necessities for friends and relatives in their native provinces.

Through Shenzhen these bags have come and gone, crossing the borders of British and Chinese rule. Even today, they are still seen everywhere, as carrying bags, store canopies, and, when torn open and spread wide, as protective coverings at construction sites. They have been one of the icons of the city since its colonial days, silently acknowledging and reminding people of their Chineseness.

Since 1994, anothermountainman has been shooting redwhiteblue for a decade. The result is this two-volume book. The first volume presents a collection of photos that portray how people have lived with redwhiteblue. Seeing beauty in this cheap material, the book seeks to lay bear the meaning in its inexhaustible applications. The second volume deals with art works done in and about redwhiteblue: photography, posters and installation art. Representing this material as it is deconstructed, reassembled and recombined, anothermountainman has brought to it a completely novel feeling, drawing attention to an increasing indefinable identity in the shifting landscape of globalism.
